20th Century Fox Is Foxconnect not doing a Black Friday sale this year?

Every year that I can remember Foxconnect has done a Black Friday sale but so far nothing has shown up on their site. Anyone have any idea if they will be doing a Black Friday sale this year and perhaps when it might start?

I forgot all about Fox Connect's BF sale until someone in one of the other threads mentioned not seeing it. Maybe Fox Connect is cutting back? It's not like Fox is a big fan of physical media, anyway.

Yeah I noticed that Fox was trying to do their part and kill off physical media. Most of their shows are DVD only now which is pretty gross. A 22-year old format. They still release some shows in Blu-Ray in other countries like all of 24 but naturally locked it down hard with region locks.

Last year was cyber monday? Also if i remember correctly it was only 30-35% off select titles. With their promo code sign up you got a better selection.

Yeah, the FoxConnect of two years ago doesn't exist anymore. First they ended the sitewide 50% off sales and then last year's BF or CM sale was sad.

60% or more of physical media sales are DVD. So long as consumers stay with that format, and that's where the money is, then it makes some sense. Fox tries at least some titles on Blu-ray, and I'd imagine that they'd keep producing them if people bought enough to make it worth their while.

Meanwhile, many of Fox's shows these days are DVD-R.

There was a nice glitch in the site a week or so before BF last year that allowed you to get a decent selection of titles for around $4 each
