Just a quick Q about the Region A disc.. can anyone confirm if the BD has the original theatrical subtitles for the non-English dialogue - which appear in different areas of the screen in various colorful fonts - or plain white generic player-generated subtitles like the non-US BD release?

The weird thing is, on the Sony version if you watch the PIP-mode version with the movie in the PIP window, that tiny version has the original subtitles. But any other setting reverts to the generic ones, which I guess they did so they could use the same master for multiple language territories. Between that and the 7.1 audio (as opposed to 5.1 on Sony) it'll be well worth the upgrade for me ![]() |
