To be honest its more a question of how many! There havent been many released

Saw 3D is pretty good as is The Final Destination 3D as they were both filmed in native 3D. Lots of pop out effects and fabulous depth.
Fright Night is supposed to be ok and I really enjoyed the film.

Piranha 3D is ok ish but was converted, not seen My Bloody Valentine 3D

If you're into the sci-fi action horror type, then Resident Evil Afterlife is a good choice. I haven't personally seen this one, but I've heard that A Haunting in Salem has greath depth throughout, but not much pop if that's what you're looking for.

Resident Evil: Afterlife, The Final Destination and My Bloody Valentine all have great 3D effects. They really take advantage of the technology by having the pop out effect.

Saw 3D was little disappointing to me. There was some depth, but no real gimmick shots. Pirahna 3D was similar in that there was more focus on depth, but not on the pop out effect.

Drive Angry is more of a supernatural action movie, but I thought I would mention it as well. Plenty of 3D effects and it is usually pretty cheap.

Fright Night come out tomorrow and is getting good buzz, aside from the night shots supposedly being really dark.

Final Destination 5 was really good in the theatre and comes out on 3D Blu at the end of December.

If you are into J-horror and the like, then you may want to check out these two:

Child's Eye 3D (Hong Kong w/ English subs)
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-C...Blu-ray/19220/

Shock Labyrinth (Taiwan release w/ English subs)
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-S...Blu-ray/19338/

Both play on Region A (USA players). Shock Labyrinth uses Side By Side Mode for 3D.

And I really enjoyed Monster Vs Aliens' references to 50's horror and Sci-Fi too.

I may have to buy Monsters vs Aliens. The 3D looks really good and it looks funny with good Godzilla like action.

Bloody Valentine 3D I may also have to see, when the price drops hopefully. 40 bucks is too steep, 20 I can handle for movies not on my must see list. Saw 3D had great depth from the trailer I saw in theaters, just wasn't a big fan of the movie I saw, which was Saw 2. Final Destination 1 was okay, just didn't bother with the sequels. The 3D would have to be 16.99 for me to consider it on br3d.

RE Afterlife 3D was great.

Upcoming 3D in the horror genre include
Jan. 2012 Underworld 3D with Kate Beckinsale.
2012: Resident Evil Damnation 3D, a Capcom CGI animated movie
Sept 2012: Resident Evil Retribution 3D, live action

I have to go with RESIDENT EVIL AFTERLIFE and FINAL DESTINATION. If you are a fan of the Resident Evil videogames, particularly Resident Evil 5, you must watch the featurettes and Paul W. Anderson's obsession to certain game details and how they were used in the movie. As a horror fan, I liked PRIEST 3D. Yes some scenes were very dark and it got poor reviews, but I happened to like the unique way they interpreted vampires, the sets and the guardian. I preferred the 3D over the 2D version.

I'm sure The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D will be out on Blu & 3D Blu after it's theatrical release. Might be something to look forward to.

Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is an upcoming American 3D horror film due to release in 2012. The first one has some great atmosphere, but isn't as scary as the first game Silent Hill on PS1.
Principal photography began in Toronto, Canada on March 7, 2011 and wrapped in May 2011, with the 3D RED Epic camera used for the process. Source wikipedia.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D is scheduled for an October 5, 2012 release. I didn't see anything about it using 3D cameras on the set, but this movie starts off right after the events of TCM1, which I agree, was a great horror movie despite having almost no gore or blood, and the film has a good sense of humor. If they can capture Tobe Hooper's awesome style of cinematography, music and acting, this could be an awesome movie. Especially if the 3D is well done.

Resident Evil Retribution 3D fall 2012. Though it's more of an action/horror hybrid series.

You may want to take a look at these. They are cheap, but they sound like they are "C" movies. There's a link for additional double features on the page as well. I have this sitting in my cart as I debate whether to pull the trigger.

Yeah, C movies are mostly good for a laugh, though sometimes they might have good 3D.

I dunno, look at the second review - focuses soley on the 3D. He found a ton of flaws with it, some of which sound pretty deal-breaking to me.

Back to topic. Stay far away from My Bloody Valentine and SAW 3D. The others mentioned here is instant buys

Thanks for the heads up.

So MBV and Saw 3D were bad movies, or bad 3D? Or both?
