uhhh....yeah who cares? Their connection speed must have been ultra fast that the web master must have not noticed that the movie was several GB's in size.

When I lived in Japan, I was shocked that DL and UL were the same speed. Not like here in the US where UL is usually a fifth of DL. Maybe Sony Pictures has a contract for unthrottled UL, and that's why they didn't notice?

I think they uploaded it on purpose so it got more attention than what it would have gotten anyway (which would have been minimal at best).

Yup... I could see a corporation trying this tactic to raise awareness for a product that they knew wasn’t going to be a run away money maker for them. Generating a bunch of news headlines for their product is essentially free advertising.

It's highly unlikely this was done on purpose. There's an article over on arstechnica (a tech site) that discusses this, and how it may have happened. The author in a comment post below the main article describes a common scenario for uploading clips like these, and how it could have happened.
