It was available to all, except it was only for about 8 hours on Nov 1 (from 1 am to 9 am pacific), and many people who ordered it online for shipping got their orders cancelled. A select few were able to price match to other stores. People were able to do store-pickup or price match inside of an AT&T store, but the store-pickup inventory was inaccurate too.

You likely won’t find a significant reduction in price given the fact that Apple actually sells this with little to no profit at all. By this I mean they don’t actually make money off selling Apple TVs (i.e., the cost of making it per unit is close to or the same price they sell it at) and instead they sell them close to or at cost because their reasoning is that they’ll make money from the digital stuff they sell through it (movies, shows, music, games, apps, etc.).
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.mac...pple-cost/amp/ Your best bet is probably to find a bundle or promotion where the TV is included as part of another product like a subscription to a specific service or such. I have a friend who got one for free simply by committing to three months of DirectTV, then he canceled it (the cost of the three months was actually less than the actual cost of the Apple TV). |
