Please list, in order of preference, your Top 10 Directors of All Time. Only make one list and do not list a director more than once. Collaborators such as the Wachowskis and the Coen brothers may be listed as one entry. All genres are included. The basis of your list is entirely up to you. It can be the directors with the greatest influence, your personal favorites, or a combination of both. I know it will be hard for some to narrow their list down to 10, but I think this should give us the most interesting final list of 25, maybe more depending on participation. Scoring will be as follows:

Classy picks man.

Some time last year I went through a Tarkovsky phase and eventually viewed all his feature-length films. He's definitely a director working on a whole 'nother level, and I value at least half of his work immensely.

Mallick is a director whose work I shouldn't like, but they manage to stick to my brain and demand rewatches. They tend to become quite invoking on a second, third, infinite viewing.
