Default 2025 Little League World Series

As I am sure I am not the only one who gets enjoyment watching the LLWS tournament, we now have a thread.

I love the way the kids play, the heart, the raw energy, the genuine emotion when they win big games.

That being said we now have our first controversy regarding it.

Apparently the Venezuelan team was denied Visa entry into USA for tournament.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...n/85387672007/

Please do not make this political, but it is sad these kids will not be able to compete due a travel ban imposed on their country. I feel bad as there is nothing like working your ass off for something only for it to be torn from under you outside of your control.

The team has been replaced by another from Mexico, so there is no way even if resolved they could compete.

I’m not too far from Williamsport and it’s definitely a huge event and big revenue booster for the local businesses and hotels.

It’s fun to see the kids play at that age and level along with getting a glimpse at future MLB players.

I actually had dinner with the LLWS President a few years back. I was in Williamsport for a Chamber of Commerce event and he gave me a pin.

I've been going to games since 1999, missing a year here and there. It is my very favorite event to go to in the summer and I can't wait for this year's trip.

There is everything to love about it!!

I really hate that they are teaching kid catchers to frame pitches, and that they often get the call by umps.

I hate 12 year olds are throwing breaking balls and change ups, no ****ing wonder pitchers need Tommy John at 22-25 and every pitcher today is limited to 100 pitches or they die.

Also WTF is up with encouraging the bat flips

I've been watching a bunch of baseball and softball games the past couple of weeks or so. I set them to record so I don't miss too many of em. I love watching little league because it is just a bunch of kids playing for the love of the game~and not for huge contracts, etc. Brings me back to being a kid and playing myself, though I was never much good

So far there have been mostly shutouts or blowouts, hoping for more competitive games going forward.

I plan on driving down on Monday to spend the day.

Should be a good day for you driving down then. Love how much heart these kids play with they truly do love baseball which makes it all the better.

Some of these pitchers are incredible for their age.

Did anyone see the game Thursday night when Jess Sims took a bite of that Mac -n- cheeseburger?

That looked so freakin' good that I can't wait to try one on Monday.

P.S. - Jess is absolutely gorgeous!! 😍

I drove down on Monday to spend the day. I had a great time as always, and my team won (Metro).

The mac-n-cheeseburger was as good as it looked on TV.

This Metro team looks great and I hope to see them in the Championship Game.

Let's Go Metro!!

Looked like the Fairfield boys were in trouble against Nevada but this turnaround has been incredible.

Only thing I'm going to complain about is the size of some of these kids. I have never seen a 12 year old that's 6'1".
