Default Can someone recommend a 4K tv?

I want a 65 4K with HDR and want to spend somewhere around $1000-1400. Can anyone recommend one to me? I am not very knowledgable about the new technology. I currently have a 1080p 40 inch Sony TV.

Thanks anyone who can help.

I recently bought a mid-range 4KTV. I bought an LG 49UJ63, and I'm very happy with it. Took me a little while to get the picture settings to how I like it, but basically I googled the best 4KTVs for under £500, and that's what a lot of websites said. They do 49, 55, and 65" options.

Other than that, Samsung's 6400 line is top quality, a little out of my price range for the size I wanted, but I'd get one in a heartbeat.

I'd go with the Vizio M series if you want to stay in budget or the Sony 900E. But honestly, I'd wait for when the super bowl approaches and the really good tv sales come up.

The Sony XE90/X900E is a popular mid-range model.

You could also wait for the 2018 models to come out. Might be worth it.

Here are a few of nice deals for 65 inch 4K TV from Best Buy.

There's a LG 65UJ6300 TV on sale for $899.99 (ignore the Best Buy specs tab, this TV does have HDR as I actually have the 43UJ6300 model)
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-65-c...?skuId=5792903

If you're not the biggest LG fan, then at Best Buy (again), there's a 65 inch 4K TV (HDR confirmed) from Hisense for just $799.99
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hisense...?skuId=5712314

And lastly for Sony fans, Best Buy (once again) has the Sony XBR65X850E 65 inch 4K TV (HDR included) on sale for $1,999.99

Figure out which tv your wanting, then head on over to slickdeals and do keyword alerts to your email. Can buy waaay above your budget if your willing to wait a few weeks and move fast when a deal pops up.

Those are the two I'm trying to decide between.

Personally I would recommend you going with a Samsung, anything 8000 series and above. Here is one currently on sale at BB for $1300.

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung...?skuId=5773800

I absolutely love mine and haven't been happier with PQ.

Just my 2 cents.

I can't recommend this one enough: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-65-c...?skuId=5792903

I've had it since June and it's been awesome for UHD/HDR and BD.

If you can go down to a 55 inch, the Sony 930E is really a great TV for 1499. I have had the 65 inch(1999) for a few weeks and Love It.
