Platoon is one of my top ten most wanted on the format.

+1. The DNR kicks in hard around the 40 minutes mark and lasts for about 15-20 minutes and sadly these are the important moments in the movie.

Really hoping they are using a different remaster for the 4K UHD release.

I mean, the product description does specify that it's a 'brand new restoration.' Shout wouldn't be so stupid as to wrongfully promote it as such knowing they need to placate everyone unhappy with the existing 4K remaster... or would they?

EDIT: Alright, I checked the description of the 2018 Blu-ray and it's exactly the same. Maybe we're in trouble.

Yeah, nothing super exciting. As you found, Old Henry 4K is another, Kamen Rider Kuuga Complete series (which Shout added to their site already for September), and a 2020 Hungarian horror film called Post Mortem.
