Default Quality difference between blu-ray and DVD redemptions?

Is there a quality difference between the digital copy I get redeeming a blu-ray digital code in Movies Anywhere versus a DVD code redeemed in Movies Anywhere? For example, if I'm only interested in the digital copy, is there a reason to get Mary Poppins 50th Anniversary Edition on blu-ray versus DVD if all I care about is redeeming the Movies Anywhere digital copy?

Usually the quality of the digital version is inline with what the physical copy is. DVD may provide SD digital version whereas the bluray will provide HD digital version. And for some newer titles you buy in 4k hdr physical you'll get 4k HDR digital version. There are exceptions where sometimes to code will redeem a low quality than you should have been entitled, in which case you have to harass the distribution place for that disc.

Depends entirely on the studio. WB UV codes will sometimes redeem in SD even from a Blu Ray code (happened more a few years ago, only somewhat recent title to do that was Legend of Tarzan), and older DVD codes were SD only.
I think it's changed to the point that most DVDs don't carry codes, and those that do (usually Fox and just select titles from other studios) tend to be HD. A friend did give me his unused ITunes portion of The Last Knight from a DVD, and it redeemed in 4K (due to free HD upgrade from ITunes).
