Default Windows mixed reality, using multiple external cameras

Hello, I've been eyeing on getting a VR headset for my PC sometime in the future. I have a Playstation VR since it was on sale for $200 last month, and I've been loving it so far, enough that I'm very happy to go with a higher end VR, although having seen that the Windows mixed reality is much easier to modify to get it working with other PC games compared to the PSVR, and that the headset and controller packs that are on amazon are usually $210-240, with the controlls having both an analog stick and touch pads, making compatibility with oculus and HTC vive games very easy to work with adding third party software. It seems like a really good deal.

I understand though that the way cameras work with windows mixed reality is that instead of having external cameras or sensors to track your controllers, it has the cameras in the headsets (which is great as it makes set up much more quick). However, many games recently are using roomscale or require you to use your controllers outside your headset's FOV (such as using a bow for example, which even psvr has issues sometimes working with), though what I'm wondering if you can add extra cameras to compensate and add extra areas for it to track the controllers in more areas and allow roomscale? I would imagine that shouldn't be that hard to implement with third party software.
