Default LG 32UD99-W 4K Ultra HD desktop computer monitor with HDR10

The LG 32UD99-W is a top of the line desktop computer monitor with HDCP 2.2 for the HDMI ports only, display port uses standard HDCP since its version 1.2 instead of 1.3.

This new model that is coming out is better than my 4K Ultra HD LG monitor that I currently own. I am glad to see HDR10 support in a desktop monitor, however there is no DolbyVision support since its HDMI 2.0a and not HDMI 2.0b.

This is a step in the right direction, and hopefully in the future LG will make a 4K Ultra HD computer monitor that supports DolbyVision.

I'm very interested in that model.
Are there any real world reviews from the owners ?

This monitor is not scheduled to be released until May 2017. Then after it comes out reviews might start showing up. You can pre-order it for $999.

It is coming soon. For me, LG is the No1 brand in monitors now, leaving ASUS and SMG behind.

Thanks for the update. Also the pre-order price is now $997, $2 cheaper. I am going to pass on this desktop monitor since I have a older model with all the features already except HDR10. When and if they get DolbyVision desktop computer monitors in the future, then I would be more interested. I wish a OLED desktop computer monitor would be made, however the price might be $2,000+ for the first generation.

It's a long way from... "out - March 28" (CES)

New products get delayed. There is always a possibility of a August or September launch. Next year maybe LG might release a desktop computer monitor with Dolby Vision HDR.

It's like a girl who stood you up for a whole year. Or it's like Manti Teo's imaginary girlfriend who was never going to be real. By the time you do meet her you are going to dump her for something better (8k).

Now the estimated release date is December 2017. At this rate, why not just wait for a possible new 2018 model with DolbyVision HDR.

It looks like no one has this in stock yet. December 2017 is the new estimated arrival. There is always a possibility it might get canceled for a USA release if there is not enough pre-orders, or delayed until sometime in 2018.

B and H Photo does have the new 27 inch Benq SW281 4K Ultra HD desktop computer monitor with HDR10 in stock for $1,099 and with free shipping. This monitor is also HDCP 2.2 .

Hopefully in 2018 there might be some Dolby Vision HDR desktop computer monitors released.

They look the same, however maybe the one for around $100 more might have slightly better picture quality. I would need to do intensive research looking at both PDF specs sheets side by side to see if there is any minor differences.

http://www.lg.com/us/business/download/resources/BT00001837/LG_SPEC-SHEET_32MU99-W_081709_PR.pdf

The LG models have the advantage of being 32 inches, the BENQ at 27 inches is a little small. For one that can afford it and has the space a 40 inch or larger 4K Ultra HD desktop computer monitor would be ideal.
