I searched but couldn’t find any threads about this. Every couple of months or so I’ll find myself behind on new releases so I’ll spend a day at the theater seeing a few in a row. How many others out there do this?
Today I saw four, in this order: Lady Bird Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (my favorite of the day) Phantom Thread Call Me by Your Name And I planned for a fifth, I, Tonya, but it had already started by the time Call Me by Your Name had ended. |

Voodoo Black Excorcist The Thing With Two Heads Russ Meyer’s Vixen Story of Ricky The Brainiac Finished at 8:30 the next morning and a few hours later I was at another cinema to see four hours of 'Lawrence of Arabia' (I'm not kidding) |

Just curious... are you guys leaving and then paying to get it again or sneaking in to other films after paying to see the early one?

Leaving to pay. However, today I had four free passes so I didn’t have to pay. Also I got lucky with the movie times all lining up so I only had about a ten minute wait between movies.

Three films at the theater seems to be my maximum. But I’ve done it multiple times. I’ve done a slew of double features, too.
In 2008, my sister and I saw I Am Legend in IMAX (mostly to see the first 8 minutes of TDK) followed by Cloverfield and Sweeney Todd. I saw The Good Dinosaur, The Night Before, and another movie I’m blanking on with a friend on his birthday. We both played hooky from work. I saw Manchester by the Sea, Moonlight, and Arrival by myself just before the Oscars last year. And this past summer with my sister again we saw Atomic Blonde, Wonder Woman for the third time, and Dunkirk for the second time. And all were paid for. The only time I ever auditorium jumped was after Shrek the Third into Hot Fuzz. |

Back in 1994, I saw the Indiana Jones trilogy all in one day (John Rhys-Davies was even there!). That's my max for the most amount of movies watched in one day theatrically. Truth be told, I usually shy away from seeing even two movies back-to-back in theaters, unless they are very short and the theater schedule lines up perfectly. I'm usually hungry as hell by the end of the second movie, and I'd rather just leave after the first to get a bite to eat (popcorn doesn't count

I got the AMC "Best Picture Nominations Viewing" ticket for the 2008 best picture noms.
I must admit, though, that I ate dinner instead of watched JUNO. Hate that movie. So: Michael Clayton Atonement There Will be Blood [Juno] No Country for Old Men |

Did an all night marathon at the Nickelodian in Santa Cruz in college, started with Ghostbusters, then The Tingler, 7th Voyage of Sinbad, 5 Easy Pieces, 5000 Fingers of Dr.T, Last Picture Show and El Mariachi. Also did both extended LOTRs then the premiere of ROTK in SF. Didnt some people go see all MarvelU movies in a row?

I've done three in a day at the theater, and I think I may have done it more than once, but only remember one specific time. Funny enough, it was also at three different locations as well. Saw Kingsman, Song of the Sea, and Still Alice.
Sometimes it's just more convenient to plan the day seeing multiple movies, instead of going back another day. Especially if the particular theater some films are playing at are a bit further away. Also don't have the motivation to see a movie on a day that I work. Today I saw two movies, neither of which were at any of my nearest theaters. Almost saw a third that was also only playing there, but just felt like going home. |

If I go by myself, I'll do 2-3 a day easy. But my theatres only have 4 showings a day so it's impossible to get more than that. The earliest my theatre plays movies is noon on weekdays, and latest is at 9:30ish, so 12pm/1pm, 4pm, 7pm and 9pm are the typical showings.
That Friday Catching Fire came out, I went to 4. First noon showing of Catching Fire, then Thor: Dark World at 4, Ender's Game at 7, and Catching Fire again at 10. |

Non stop horror films for 3 days. In October. In a secluded, tiny mountain town. It's my favorite weekend of the year. |
