The sequel to Black Dynamite is officially called The Outlaw Johnny Black, and star Michael Jai White has released a teaser trailer for the new project along with a crowdfunding campaign to get the movie out to the masses. White previously teased the sequel at the end of January with a cryptic social media post and a short clip, but now we know the full details surrounding Black Dynamite 2 and it looks pretty awesome. Black Dynamite is in the 1970s making him a descendant of Johhny Black of the Old West.

I am not sure if this interests me, but I do know that trying to do a direct sequel to Black Dynamite would have been

Beating a dead horse... bringing up/asking something that has been discussed a thousand times before

so I am glad they are least trying something different.

(P.S. the voiceover in that trailer is annoying, and not in a funny parody way)

Not the same director as Black Dynamite, and PG-13 instead of R. Weirdly enough Scott Sanders isn't involved at all. Kinda cautious on this one.

The only thing Michael Jai White directed before this are two Never Back Down DTV movies, so hopefully the script is clever enough to carry it.

I backed this movie on indiegogo in 2018 and contributed 39 Dollars as a perk in order to get a Blu-ray when it was finished. Since then I forgot about it until today when I saw online that it was finished in 2023 and is available on DVD. I never got my Blu-ray for putting my money into this project. I really feel cheated.
