Bring on -8KUHD streaming

My internet company- Spectrum upgraded their lowest speed to 50mbps, while other areas, like mine have 100mbps. U.K. publication ISPreview found the bandwidth speed threshold for streaming the 8K video was a minimum of 50 Mbps.(Jun 18, 2015). Idk how many people have 50mbps internet besides Google Fiber and some cable companies like Spectrum ( Time Warner but Apple had the right idea with their 4K Apple Tv but the better option would be to have a 1-2 terabyte (4K but better 8K, once market availability and critical mass adoption has been achieved for this type of streaking device, where you could store some movies on your hard drive, for people w/out ultra fast 80+mbps internet. Then you have movies in the cloud where you could swap out movies stored on youe device via download replacement. At the same time, you could swap out 8K stored movies on your device via download overwrite over other stored titles. I doubt 8K Blu-ray discs would gain market share if this device option of streaming/download were available. If 15-20mbps is fast enough for 4K from Netflix, (15-20*4=60-80mbps). So, as long as you had 60mbps , you could theoretically theoretically stream 8K video with the HEVC codec. As time progresses, technology/ transistors on a chip doubles every 2 years via Moore’s Law. This should make 8K streaming available in the near future, evennwith current internet speeds and codecs available now. The streaming/ downloading device is the way of tye future. Apple 4K tv almost got it right but they limited themselves to streaming. Should’ve had a download option. Netflix, if smart, shouod partner with a device manufacturer where people with slow DSL/cable internet could download 4K episodes and it would give you an alphanumeric code to allow you to playback content that’s downloaded gia the 10-15 digit code for authentication ourposes. A constant internet connection would need to be active just to authenticate and activate an online expiration date for content downloaded.
