The Black Pearl (1977)

The Black Pearl, based on the novel by Scott O'Dell, was one of my favorite movies during childhood, and I used to enjoy seeing it on HBO from time to time. The story is about a teenage boy who dives for pearls off of the coast of Baja, and finds a legendary black pearl that is guarded by a giant manta ray, the "Manta Diablo."

This is one of those movies that I have not thought about in quite a while, but I would love to see it again. I remember the manta ray scenes being quite intense.

Does anybody else remember The Black Pearl? To the best of my knowledge, it never surfaced on DVD or Blu-ray. In fact, I never stumbled across any VHS copies either back in the day.

In the end does this kid have some girl turn into a turtle, I am looking for a movie that some kid get the black pearl and he has some girl try to take it back and she becomes a huge turtle and swims away
