Very nice! Never bought this, but that’s about to change. 1click is quite nice.
What is that listed at the bottom of the 1click image? A spine?

Edit: Paracord! See it now. I don’t have one of those either.....SOLD!!!

Could never get over the fact that they used badly computer generated wolves in this one. Nice package though!

Well, better than trying to use real wolves and having a couple of ambulances constantly on standby I suppose....

edit; Triggers has a GB up btw.

Nooo, lots of movies use real wolves. Frozen (2010) or White Fang (1991) for example. Those attack scenes are so much scarier bc they feel authentic.

Nice. But is the movie any good?
I haven't watched this yet. Will probably rent it over the weekend.

I’ve been waiting for a premium SB for this amazing movie! I am normally a Lenti man but this might be a rare instance where I like the Full Slip better.

I hope there are better beauty shots of the Lenti... there is just so much white and ONLY Liam... it seems kind of plain. I hope it looks better in hand.

This movie is awesome. The initial plane crash was so visceral I felt beat up after seeing it in theaters. From there it’s just non stop suspense.

"Frozen" had 7 wolf wranglers for one scene. I don't have a clue how Hollywood budgets their films but it's feasible I suppose that price became a factor, since half the film is dealing with them.
What I do know however, is that wolves are scary, I mean really scary to deal with. I have a bit of off-hand experience.
If I was given a choice, I'd use a computer rendition every time...

edit: oh, and there is a reason that way back in the primal recess of our minds we have an instinctive fear of wolves. A Timber wolf can reach 200 pounds. They are always in packs. When they select a target, that target is doomed unless it has an advantage (like fire).

Here's the times for when this goes live. I also have it in spoiler tags up top under the release date.....takes up a lot of space.

Yes I agree and that's also why it becomes so suspenseful when real wolves are used in a movie. It's a shame they couldn't do it for this one.
Another example is how Bart the bear made a lot of movies better during his life time, as opposed to using animatronics or CGI.

What is your wolf experience *curious*?

^^ Heh, I don't mind sharing my story;

I lived in Yellowknife, North West Territories for 5 years.
Each year, my friends and I would go caribou hunting.
Winter starts early and stays late up there so we used snowmobiles to get to our hunting area. We would break into groups of 2 and go in separate directions.
Bill had a 2-seater sled so I rode tandem with him (less noise with one sled).
Well we dropped 2 'boo just before sundown and it was dark by the time we had them field dressed (gutted) but could not get the damn sled going. We knew it was too dark for our friends to come look for us and we were both experienced outdoorsmen so we built a lean-to and started a fire in a bowl near the tree line. We cut a couple of steaks off one of the 'boo and so ate well.
I guess it was around mid-night we first saw them. Not heard, but saw their silhouettes in the bright moon light. There were about 10 I guess, maybe less, maybe more. They obviously smelled the dead 'boo.
Bill wanted to protect our kills but I explained a few facts to him. We did not know how many or where they all were and we probably couldn't stay awake all night. They would get those 'boo regardless of what we did and I'm not risking my life for a couple of corpses.
So, we moved deeper into the tree line and just watched, keeping the fire between us and the dead 'boo.
It took almost an hour before they finally moved in.
One huge wolf grabbed one of the 'boo and hoisted it as easy as I could a rabbit and ran off with two quickly joining it.
About 15 minutes later, another wolf grabbed the other 'boo and this one was a bit smaller so had a rough time so just started to drag it. He was quickly joined by another that grabbed it off him and ran off with it like a rag doll in a kids arms.
About 10 minutes later, another came in but after sniffing around at the guts, just took off. That was the last we saw of them.
I looked at Bill and he was shivering from far more than just the cold.
We changed location by a few hundred yards, keeping our sled in view and built another shoddy ass lean-to.
and quickly built a fire We took turns sleeping, 3 hours on, 3 off, keeping the fire going.
About 8 in the morning, we heard sleds in the distance and I fired off 3 rounds. waited a minute then fired 3 more. we walked out to the sled and 4 of our friends soon appeared. Ken had spare spark plugs with him that were same type as Bill used so we soon got the sled going. we headed back to camp and had a few Irish whiskey and told our tale.
That afternoon we got 2 more 'boo...

Pretty neat story.
I’m guessing “‘boo” = caribou?

Yes. Barren Ground 'boo are not very big, field dressed they only weigh about 75 pounds. But that's 75 pounds of fillet mignon. I'll tell ya, best meat I've ever eaten.

Very cool story, but I doubt you would have been in much trouble. There has never been a confirmed human kill by wild non-hybrid wolves in North America (or here in Sweden) right? Even back when wolves were abundant. Still, I would shit my pants and leave everything to the wolves if I had ten of them near my camp

What do you mean by “field dressed”? Wow, my dog(pictured ) weighs a little over 70lbs. I always thought caribou were much bigger.
Sorry to everyone for going off topic, but I could talk about this all day long.
Pretty neat stuff. I’ve always wanted to go hunting, but never got the chance. Had a work acquaintance that went all the time, and helped him gut a huge deer. That was....interesting to say the least. Just strung that bad boy to Kubota tractor bucket, lifted it up off the ground, belly out, sliced it up the middle and all the innards went splat. Then froze over night. Lol!

Woodland Caribou are large animals, about the size of a white-tail deer some a bit larger. Barren Ground are smaller though and travel in herds. Yes, field dressed means gutted. We would leave the head and pelt on and tie it to the back of the sled and drag them over the snow back to camp, skinning them there. Oh and NO we do not hunt from sleds, only an idiot would attempt that. We just use the sleds to get to our hunting areas.

Much rarer in North America than other parts of the world, but definitely not true - people have been killed by wolves:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List..._North_America

I remember the same argument in the original The Grey thread with some loon that refused to watch the movie because it was insulting to wolves
