Have not seen it but understand there are SD inserts used to complete the source used.

There are some SD inserts in mediocre VHS quality
I found 4 scenes (maybe there are some more, I just spot-checked) and took some screenshots.

Mostly gore.

I've always had a soft spot for this film. Happy with the disc, although the inserts can be jarring to start with. Got cover C, hate the other two.

'84 only has released a few KC versions of mainstream titles (48 Hours, Pet Semetary, Scrooged) so I'd rather say no.
MAYBE there'll be a BD only MB or a Hardbox.
