Default Film related New Years resolutions

When a New Year rolls about, do you ever set yourself any challenges/goals related to films, or do you just like to take it as it comes?

I have a few for 2020:
- Stop watching/buying films that I'm only curious about to see if they're as bad as they look, and only watch stuff that I'm genuinely interested to see. Too many times I've watched a film that I knew wasn't going to be worth it, and then been annoyed at myself for wasting the time after.

- Don't buy every new release on release day. I've had less money the last couple of months so I've missed out on a bunch of new releases which, previously, I would have grabbed immediately. But I have a habit of buying these movies on release and then never getting around to re-watching them, and now I can just pick up these newer releases at a cheaper price later. So unless it's something I know I'll watch straight away, I can afford to wait.

- Watch every single Best Picture winner

- Fill in some of the huge gaps in my film knowledge by checking out the many classics, directors etc that I haven't seen yet.

And as always, I aim to get through my unwatched Blu-Rays and broaden my horizons with more foreign language films and the like.

These aren't life changing resolutions or anything to kick yourself over if you don't keep up with them, just a fun way to expand the hobby into the new year. So, how about you?
