i dont know about you guys but that movie deserves bluray there's stunning cinematics in that and only bluray would do it justice

ne1 have any clue if we'll ever see it on bluray?

I'd love to see Hidalgo on Blu Ray, and I'm sure it will get a release from Disney fairly soon, along with National Treasure hopefully.

im hoping hidalgo kicks ass. I loved the movie when it came out. I will buy it anyway but Im just hoping that it is better than any release thus far

Same here, I'm really looking forward to this one. After reading a few of the reviews, it seems like they did a pretty good job with it also.

Yikes saw it on DVD kinda long and boring...i will wait until this one hits the bargain basement. I bet Hidalgo will be in one of those Four movies that suck packages very soon.

If they haven't changed the release date, I'm happy to report that I've got my first early release blu-ray!! I went by Best Buy to check out the hi-def section after seeing the post about HD DVD being removed from the stores. Sure enough, 8 sections of blu-ray now (not to mention being mixed in with the DVDs in the new release DVD section, and a separate blu-ray new release section in front of all the movies and another section by the register!

It was great but anyway, as I'm browsing the blu-rays I see Hidalgo on the shelf. I've found several early at Circuit City but I never get past the registers (i.e. they won't ring it up early) so I didn't expect to actually get it. No problem though. Bought it along with two other blu-rays so I'm wondering if they approved an early release on it since April 1st has a lot of titles being released.

I know this happens with others all the time but I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've gotten one early (if it is indeed early) so I'm pretty excited. I was going to go by CC to see their hi-def situation but in all the excitement, I forgot.

Had a chance to watch it last night and for the most part, the PQ is really good. Has plently of stunning, clear, detailed scenes but occasionaly the sky in the distance (when they draw back for long distance shots) is a little grainy. SQ is good also and in one scene where a gunshot is heard, it actually startled me and made me look to the left. If you like the movie, I highly recommend it (it's a nice upgrade from the DVD).
