Cover doesn't represent the film very well in my opinion.

Guys, the regular Synapse steelbook is coming with its own slipcover (which sports the classic poster art), FYI.

The O card that comes with it looks great. This is a steelbook I might have to pick up.

Every release that they've done has come out as a standard package months later....i.e. Demons, Demons 2, Phenomena, Popcorn.....

Save $30?

Even if the standard blu ray cost $15, you think the steelbook is going to be $45?

Aren't they usually $39.99 + shipping?

Edit: $49.95 + free shipping for pre-order right now following the link in the OP

I thought I saw someone mention the steel is $50? I'm not buying it so I haven't researched. I assume the standard release will be around $20.

Oh wow, that's nuts. I can't click the link at work, it's telling me Synapse's website is pornography and blocking it.

$50 for just a standalone steel book? That seems nuts. That's more expensive than premium editions from Kimchi/Plain/FAC/etch.

Right. That's why I thought the HDN versions with the nice slipboxes and extra they provided was worth the $10 more. If you're going to get the steelbook anyway, why not get the fullest package?

So Synapse is releasing 6,000 steelbooks.

Does that 6,000 number include the steelbooks allotted to HDN for the Black Label release? Or is it 6,000 plain steelbooks via Synapse + more created specifically for HDN?

IIRC from the previous 2 releases, it would be 6000 total including copies allotted to HDN
