Thanks to Cecil B. DeMille for the review of Imprint's "World of Suzie Wong".
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-W...2/#UserReviews But what's puzzling is the rating for av/ quality. What could account for the night & day difference found by this reviewer? https://bluray.highdefdigest.com/107...ededition.html David Krauss said that the print used was Paramount's newly remastered one and goes on to describe its virtues. But I was especially heartened by what Krauss said of the audio quality for a recording so many decades old. How many of us have collected numerous treasured BD title with great picture quality but audio that's distorted, over compressed or with truncated frequency range? I've yet to see/hear this BD. Amazon has it for an obscene price, no thanks to the addition of that extra BD of little interest. But unless Cecil B's playback hardware's at fault, Brian C at post #6 was also impressed. https://www.hometheaterforum.com/com...mended.183143/ An overpriced gem for sure, but please share your experiences with its a/v quality. |
