Default The Party (Sally Potter, 2018)

Brian's review on here sparked my interest.

(I'm not watching that)

It's also playing at a local art theater chain here starting this weekend. So I'm definitely going to check it out.

Briskly paced, with sharp dialogue, starring a bunch of talented thespians (MVP is Patricia Clarkson, of course), short and with a neat ending. It's always nice to watch movies about a bunch of pretentious intellectuals revealing themselves to be the complete opposite of their polished facade. I had seen only one Sally Potter film before - The Man Who Cried, which was a shapeless and inert mess, in my opinion. So this was a nice surprise.
