Default Buena Vista Announces December Blu-ray Disc Titles

http://dvd.themanroom.com/dvd-newsview.php?id=351

Quote:
Buena Vista Home Entertainment has announced 'Invincible (2006)' and 'Pearl Harbor' will make up their December Blu-ray Disc slate. Neither extra features nor disc specs have been made available for either yet.

We had suspected for a few months that 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest' would wiggle into December, especially with the debut of its sequel on DVD December 5 It's absense is a surprise, as is the day-and-date release of 'Invincible' on Blu-ray and DVD, the first from the studio. This news bodes well for new Buena titles in 2007.

'Invincible (2006)' and 'Pearl Harbor' on Blu-ray Disc will each carry an SRP of $34.99.

[drool] Pearl Harbor [/drool]

Yes I loved the movie. Would have liked it even if it didn't have Kate Beckinsale. The 45 minute attack scene is going to be even more fun in HD!

Remember December is still a long way off, Disney has never done a two release wave, and they announced Enemy of the State after they had already announced the other four movies for Nov. So I wouldn't count Pirates and/or Hero out just yet.

Back on topic, I will definately be picking up Pearl Harbor on BD. The audio is going to be amazing. From what the trailer looks like it should look good as well. If I remember correctly, this movie is about 2 1/2 hours, so it will most likely get the AVC/BD-50 treatment, especially since the Japanese release was listed as a BD-50.

If Warner can keep announcing titles that are less than a month away, I'm pretty sure Disney can too.

I saw Pearl Harbour at the cinema actually, and damn it really sucked but...

That little section of it on the Paramount BDs looks really good doesn't it? I imagine it might be one to impress people with.

"Woah, these guys can't act their way out of a paper bag but it looks awesome guy!"

Enemy of the State with 24/48 PCM audio!

I'm eager to hear about this one. Should be a nice sounding disc.
