Default Crossover with Delay Bi-amp LCR

I've recently enlarged my room and discovered I now have significant (compared to the former room size) reverberation/echo creeping in. It is mainly noticeable in the dialogue, which is slightly less intelligible now.
I'm looking into a bi-amp crossover with delay for the LF drivers side, which helps with this situation: you set a certain millisecond delay to the LF, so it arrives at the listening position slightly later, and thereby helping intelligibility.
This is what is used in actual theaters, but I'm not sure if it will really help in my new room 26'x37'x9.5'. Is anyone using an outboard crossover in a bi-amp setup for each screen channel (mine are behind the screen)?
BTW, I am using side wall damping along with a well damped behind the screen area. That's why I'm thinking it is the increased distance listening area that is causing this. I've already experimented with EQ-ing (I've got an 8-channel 3rd octave equalizer for all the channels), but that does not seem to be eliminating the problem.
I've found this unit, and was wondering if anyone else is using a similar setup.
Thanks for any advice.
