For a second, I thought this was a joke since there's so many mistakes in the live notes.

Ohh, gee, there's a surprise...Penton-Man was right again re: Men In Black having a significant presence at the show.

That's mighty impressive for someone who 'plazman' over at AVS said is not an INSIDER and is an "expert googler" or something along those lines.

I just love it when the HD DVD idiots and HD DVD 'Insiders" bashed our Insiders (i.e. the REAL insiders in the industry)...and our Insiders have proven to be right time and time again.

Anybody who still supports HD DVD at this point and cannot see how they've been misled by people like Amir and Co...there is just no hope for those types of people who cannot admit they were duped...

Well,

They are still fighting on, however, only a select few of them. Their mantra now is doom and gloom for HDM and Optical disc.

However, the BD forum over @ AVS has picked up alot of steam with neutrals and newbies picking up players after the announcement. And Lee Stewart continues to argue that the format war isn't over, "Is it June 1st yet?"

It's laughable.

Lee is now saying he's always predicted the dominance and inevitability of downloads. If he had any sense at all he'd go into hiding.

Nice, sounds like they got Will Smith to video-promote Men In Black on Blu-ray. Hope that goes up on the PLAYSTATION Store and Youtube/everywhere soon.

What's with these ringtones, anyway? How is that in any way, shape or form going to enhance my viewing experience, or my street cred?

They are welcoming everyone on sprint or Verizon to come get a Godzilla ring tone afterwards.

LMAO~! I love how it is that now that HD DVD is no longer "the future" of hi-def, that physical media itself is now obsolete and going the way of the Dodo. For crying-out-loud, can they stop it already?!?!

Once again, these turds are on the razor's edge of obscurity... Until Terabites (sp?) become the new Megabites, DD is a long, long way off from being the mainstream format of choice for J6P. I'm not even going to get into all the reasons why that is such a long way off, let's just say that I'll be retired by the time that day comes, and 4K will be the industry standard for televisions. Until then, I'll enjoy living in the here-and-now, me, and all my little "smurf" friends...

I don't see how any self-respecting home theater enthusiast can prefer downloads over a rival HD disk format.

I love Blu-Ray and prefer it because of it's merits. But if HD-DVD had somehow won the war, I would buy into it well before I would consider downloads.

Luckily I won't have to make that switch.

Right. And Al Gore invented the Internet.

As if movie downloads would never come into existance at some point in the future.

Nope. The shills will just keep moving the goalposts to suit their FUD and propaganda purposes..which is why they are shills..takes a special kind of person to do that.. because what they told everyone to believe 5 minutes ago is no longer applicable and now it's time to divert everyones attention again to the next big lie..oops sorry I meant belief

That's nice that they're showing them off, and it's good they're there...though, for the same reasons this stuff didn't entice me to HD-DVD...well, it's not looking compelling to me on Blu-Ray either.

But hey...I'm paying for the movie, if they want to throw extra crap like this is go for it. We'll see how much impact it has with the consumer at large.

I will say that BD-Live is really growing on me. I really had thought the whole online connectivity thing was going to be really dumb, and, to be fair, as it existed on HD DVD it kind of was. An online store for Evan Almighty I could care less about. But the movie trailers are pretty cool. Granted, I can already do that with the PS3, but having it available on standalone players is pretty damn cool.
