Something is Out There (1988)

I owned the VHS and digitized it many times, but it never looked good.

There's no official DVD release of this anywhere around the world.
I checked some pages that sell DVDs of this movie, but it usually is a VHS -> DVD rip.

Last week my eye fell on this page

And especially this line:
"Sony Pictures Television (2002) (USA) (all media) (syndication)"

It seems it was broadcasted in 2002.
Could this be a digital broadcast?
And if so, could it be that someone is selling this on DVD. It would be in better quality, but so far I couldn't find a site that confirms this.

Bottom line is, I like the movie, but so far Sony is not interested in releasing this, despite a lot of people liking this.
