Regal: $6 Econmney Showing $10 Matinee $12 (after 4pm) $18 for IMAX -Add $4 for 3D Local Theater: [Show spoiler] $5 (before 5pm) $7 (after) |

at my crappy local 1st run 8 screen theater its $5 for matinees. $7 for evening showings. $4 all day tuesday. They dont have 3D or Imax though (which is fine with me since we dont pay for that ever in this house). They dont like long or good movies most of the time there though so I usually have to travel far to see somehing good. They never got Cloud Atlas, children of men, etc.
But I like to travel to a good Columbus OH AMC movie theater to see movies often (an hour away and pricier but it is much more easy to movie-hop and such and they show a lot more independant films and trailers which I appreciate. I hate the STUBS card though. I used to love their moviewatcher card but the Stubs program disgusts me. You should never have to pay for any membership like this, ugh. |

Here in India, when converted from Rupees to Dollars, a movie ticket at a theater such as Cinemark costs around 3$ while Imax charges around 5$ to 6$ per ticket. Most of time, there is no extra charge for 3D movies but you don't get to keep the Real D glasses. You have to pay a 5$ deposit when you buy the ticket and after the movie is over, the usher collects the glasses and returns the deposit.

Regal
$8 matinee/student discount $10 regular $13 3D $15 IMAX (I think 3D or not) Rarely ever pay full price, as I usually have movie cash or a discount or a free ticket thanks to my member card. Friend in the Philippines says that regular admission is $4 and IMAX is $8 :1 |

They can at least use them later at home if they have Passive 3D TVs ![]() But I wish the deposit system would work its way over to the US as well. Then theatres wouldn't charge extra for 3D movies. |
