I love everything I have seen by them, but I am going to say NCFOM because Chigurh(sp?) was such a bad ass.

The Big Lebowski and Raising Arizona would have to be second.

Raising Arizona was a great funny movie a bit out of synch with reality which is what made it so great and enjoyable.

FARGO #1 for sure.

& though this says Fav. Coen Bros. MOVIE, I just had to list the "Honorable Mention" candidates: Next in line for me would be NO COUNTRY for OLD MEN, then MILLER's CROSSING, Raising Arizona, The Big Lebowski ("the DUDE" !), O' Brother Where Art Thou... - (haven't seen "Burn After Reading" yet, but i'm sure it'll creep it's way onto this list).

But Def. have to go with FARGO. It was an Instant Classic when it came out. Such great writing, acting, directing, everything. Awesome dry humor thru-out. "Burn" looks to be in a similar vein.

In an interview with The Guardian in December 2007, the Coens said that they had written a Western, "with a lot of violence in it. There's scalping and hanging ... it's good. Indians torturing people with ants, cutting their eyelids off".[11] ..........

However in an interview for the Los Angeles Times in February 2008, the Coens said that it did not exist as a script but only as an idea .

how awesome could movie that be?

Well then I have to go with Intolerable Cruelty. The courtroom scenes and Clooney were comic genius.

Defense counsel : I object, your Honor, He's choking the witness.
Judge: I'll allow it.

i watched burn after reading yesterday and thought about creating this exact same poll this morning. good thing i did a search first. haha.
anyway, i picked lebowski. gets funnier every time i see it. no country for old men was probably my favorite movie of the year, but there's several other coen bros movies i like before it, lebowski, burn after reading, fargo. i guess i just prefer their comedies.
