Default Who are your top people?

I just hit 400 Blu-rays, so I was perusing my collection using the Cast & Crew function. So, I'm now very aware of who is at the top of my list for Directors, for Actors, for Writers, etc.

Just curious, how does your collection break down? List however many or few as you want, and in whatever category interests you.

Here's mine:

DIRECTOR

Jean-Luc Godard: 10
Christopher Nolan: 9
David Fincher: 9
Ridley Scott: 8
Stanley Kubrick: 8
Terrence Malick: 8

WRITER

Christopher Nolan: 10
Jean-Luc Godard: 9
Stanley Kubrick: 8
Terrence Malick: 8

CAST

Hugh Jackman: 11
Michael Fassbender: 11
Scarlett Johansson: 11
Keira Knightley: 10
Christian Bale: 9
Famke Janssen: 9
Ben Affleck: 8

CINEMATOGRAPHER

Raoul Coutard: 11
Emmanuel Lubezki: 8
Peter Deming: 8
David Klein: 6
Wally Pfister: 6

COMPOSER

Hans Zimmer: 11
Marco Beltrami: 11
Michel Legrand: 8
James Newton Howard: 7
Clint Mansell: 6
Michael Giacchino: 6

I'm just curious to see about others. Maybe it's just me.

I don't have mine entered here, but I keep track of my collection on a spreadsheet which does include directors, so I know that I have:

Alfred Hitchcock: 34 blus (+ 14 DVDs, + 2 TV DVDs)
Steven Spielberg: 29 blus (+ 1 DVD, + 3 TV DVDs, + Poltergeist on blu)
Martin Scorsese: 23 blus (+ 9 DVDs, + 1 TV episode, + New York Stories on blu)
Steven Soderbergh: 20 blus (+ 7 DVDs, + 1 TV DVD)
Ridley Scott: 20 blus (+1 DVD)
Robert Altman: 19 blus (+ 19DVDs, + 7 TV DVDs, + Aria)

If the question expands to include DVDs, Spike Lee and Sidney Lumet are both over 30 as well and Billy Wilder and Brian de Palma would both be sitting at 25.

Not sure about writers or actors, but I don't tend to buy many things focusing on the writers; best guess would be Billy Wilder. I'd be curious to see who the actors would be, but not curious enough to enter 1200 titles into another database to maintain. I'm sure De Niro would be near the top.

Director would be Spielberg with 10 and then a three way tie between Kurosawa, Guillermo del Toro, and Wes Anderson at 7 each

Actor would be Bill Murray with 11

Composer would have to be John Williams with 23 I think (Star Wars 1-8, Jaws, Jaws 2, ET, Close Encounters, Indiana Jones 1-4, Harry Potter 1-3, Home Alone, Jurassic Park, Schindler's List, Tintin)

My top person overall would be Jerry Goldsmith with a whopping 57 credits!

My top director is Steven Spielberg with 37 credits but some of those include producing credits like Innerspace, Back to the Future, etc. but even if you exclude those he might still be tops.

My top actor is Clint Eastwood with 35 credits but, again, some of those include films that he did not act in but did direct such as Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. If you exclude those, Sean Connery is the top actor with 34 credits.

Top producer(s) are, yikes, the Weinsteins with 28 films, though I'm sure Spielberg and Eastwood are ahead of them in producing credits.

Dean Cundy is top DP with 19 credits.

I don't see any other categories although Ian Fleming is credited with 26 films though other than having written the source material, he didn't actually have anything to do with any of them.

The results do not surprise me much. I did have more Hitchcock and Corman than I realized. I think if DVDs were included Karloff/Lugosi would be higher too since a lot of their films are DVDs only. The Bond films comprised most the higher numbers due to how many there are.
