Rights seem like it would be a nightmare to obtain due to the music but somehow UK label Second Sight were able to score the license and release a nice BD set years ago, which I own. It's one of my most prized possessions. I'll happily double dip if Shout releases a 4K

Wikipedia lists the running time as 112 minutes in theaters and 92 minutes on video. (The latter is most likely the same 90-something minute cut on my old MGM tape.) What’s the story with that? No amount of googling has been able to explain those numbers, and the two BBFC links just give me 404s.

Virgin Video released it on VHS in the UK in ‘87. Second Sight released it on DVD in 2009, and then later the blu-ray in 2017.

That being the case, it’s likely now going to be hidden in the Amazon Vault for the foreseeable…. |

So going region free will really open the door for future purchases, but initially it will be maybe 20 foreign discs. |

Once I went 4K, first purchase was a region free 4k player. All of my international Blu-rays that were locked, I used different versions of software that allowed me to set the regions on my computer, and simply brought my tower downstairs if I wanted to watch that disk. Was a huge PITA, glad I no longer need to do that... |
