![]() ![]() Superman: Unbound Blu-ray Quote]Warner Home Video has released details on the 2013 line-up of titles in the acclaimed DC Universe Animated Original Movie line at the 2012 New York City Comic-Con, with new titles featuring Superman and the Justice League. A co-production of Warner Premiere, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation, the DC Universe Animated Original Movie line adapts classic stores from DC Comics lore mixed with new content. At least three new titles are released a year since the line’s inception in 2007. Executive producer Bruce Timm, dialogue/casting director Andrea Romano, and Warner Home Video’s Gary Miereanu presented attendees with exclusive clips from Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part Two along with details on other upcoming 2013 titles. In terms of upcoming DC Universe Animated Original Movie titles, coming Summer 2013 will be Superman: Unbound, adapting the “Superman: Brainiac” story written by Geoff Johns and originally printed in Action Comics. 2013 will wrap up with Justice League: Flashpoint in the Fall, adapting the controversial DC Comics mini-series Flashpoint which launched the current The New 52 continuity for the publisher. Miereanu added that Justice League: Flashpoint will likely debut at San Diego Comic-Con 2013.[/QUOTE] Source Last edited by Deciazulado; 02-06-2013 at 03:38 AM. |

The Aquaman from the tv series was already a badass, so people should already be aware of his badassery. (to reference a film version, instead of a comic version)

What are the chances in Justice League: Flashpoint that they include some of the cooler side-stories (for those who read Flashpoint) like Batman's and Superman's? I liked Flashpoint but those side-stories were awesome.
Also, as much as Flashpoint is a Flash story with JL characters in it, I hope they don't lean onto Cyborg too much. They already did that in JL: Doom and I sorta find him a boring character. As for Superman: Unbound, I heard its source - Superman: Brainiac by Geoff Johns - is really good. I recently requested that graphic novel for Xmas, so I haven't read it yet (obviously). As much as I love Bats, after The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2, I kinda hope they either do Killing Joke, Grant Morrison's Arkham Asylum, a Batman Beyond film, or just leave him be. Same with Superman. I wouldn't mind other characters getting a shot at an animated film. I know they cost about a million to do, and sales are key to this line continuing, but it would be a nice break from Bats or Supes. Besides those Batman films I mentioned, personally, here are some stories arcs I would love to see in animated form: - Kingdom Come - Green Lantern: Blackest Night - Superman Beyond - Swamp Thing (either a story from Alan Moore's arcs or Scott Snyder's current run) - Green Arrow Year One And I would love to see their DC Showcase short film line continue as well with a Hawkman, Animal Man, Batwoman, or a Deathstroke short. |

Timm has already stated they couldn't reproduce Alex Ross's amazing artwork for Kingdom Come on their typical budget and hence have little interest in doing that story. I think everyone would love to see Crisis On Infinite Earths, but so many of the storylines in it make no sense unless you know DC's Silver Age history, that I doubt it would ever be made.

Read the description about the Bottled City, and though they were doing that brief "Lightningman" retcon DC tried one summer, where Superman was trapped in the city and projected an energy version of himself outside. (Otherwise, not sure how "Unbound" would play into it. ![]() |
