Why are Iron Man Blu-rays so expensive?

$24.98 at JB. Sounds like the standard non sale price to me. Nothing overly expensive there considering how much blurays were back in the day...

Gotta hand it to Disney, they honestly make it more worthwhile to buy on release week. After a couple of months, 3D-only discs replace the combo packs, the steelbooks are sold out, and the 2D-only discs normally sit at higher than they were upon release and rarely go on special.

Though I believe Paramount distributed the first two Iron Man films on Blu-ray? Or did Disney re-release?

The first two were as you say originally Paramount. I bought at release. Not sure if they are now issued by Disney.

Regarding pricing that has always been the Disney way. Get a release week discount or wait for future sale period which are infrequent. The rest of the time expect sky high prices.

Lucky I got mine when Paramount still had them. Managed to remove the rating label from Iron Man and now it looks like a US disc, no ugly logos anywhere!

Big W had a Civil War sale last year, picked up Iron Man 1&2, first two Caps and Guardians for $7.50, $11.50 and $14.50 each.

I'd say you might get lucky with an Avengers sale next year maybe.

At this point I'd wait and get the UHDs from Concorde in Germany.

Last week I posted in the Aussie last bought/watched thread that I had pre-ordered them, which sparked a discussion. The few members involved indicated that they would prefer to wait for Disney to release the UHD versions of these, rather than purchase the German versions.

Well I'm holding off myself until I see the reviews. Disney haven't been very forthright on their uhd plans yet.

Never actually used that but I will take a look. all the Marvel movies are about $16 from Jb hi fi the cheapest I could find that is brand new. even ebay 2nd hand copies cost more

I was lucky to get a brand new iron man 2 disk ultimate edition on ebay for only $13 though that was a huge shock to pull that one off.

all the marvel movies are in fact $16 at jb besides the 3rd thor film and Guardians Vol 2. they are both sitting at $30 I assume black panthers will be as well soon.
