Awesome. Hopefully 4K UHD with involvement from Alicia Silverstone (I'd love a commentary with Silverstone, Amy Heckerling and Stacey Dash and new interviews too). July 14 is perfect timing too. The film was released July 19, 1995. Kind of odd that Paramount even bothered with that lame burned MOD BD-R repackage of the 2012 BD release. Maybe they were bombarded with comments inquiring about a 25th anniversary release?

It's hard to get excited when Paramount keeps dropping existing extras.

Son of a! Just scooped up the old pressed version right after the BD-R was announced. Why futz with the expense of that if you're going to do a pressed re-release months later? Seems stupid from a business standpoint.

Also makes me wonder how long until Footloose, which also just got BD-R'd, will get a much better pressed release.

It would make sense but this is Paramount. I don't see them releasing a UHD because they didn't release one for Beverly Hills Cop.

Well with BD-R they can order a much smaller amount from whoever they have making them and then charge much more than it would be retail, so who knows.

I have the original BD, so unless this ends up being pressed, has much better quality, or ends up getting a 4K, then I'll probably pass.

Paramount did surprisingly release one for Pet Sematary.

lol Yeah, I considered taking it off, and as much as it doesn't have anything to do with the movie, I don't usually remove stickers that are specific to a particular release. Pricing stickers and such, of course, always get removed.

If this is like their Mean Girls 15th anniversary reissue, it will be the same disc with new art. At least it’ll probably be pressed.
