Boardwalk Empire (HBO)

This is one of the many TV series that I am hoping we see released on the new format. For my money, one of the best acted and shot TV Shows with such a great settling and an unfortunantly rushed final season. Even so, this still holds up as one of the top shows in my mind. Iconic characters, moments, a killer soundtrack, everything looks, sounds and feels great.

So I really hope to see this in the sleek black cases in the future, maybe after GoT is straggered out. Definitely in need of another re-watch. The Thompson brothers, Al Capone, Jimmy Darmody, Richard Harrow, Chalky White, it’s just all too sweet, I feel like this show might get forgotten in the “golden age of TV”, but it’s really one in my mind that brought movie quality aspects to a weekly format in a serious way and will always be a special show for me. As such, I hope I get another reason to throw some money it’s way.
