For a person to accommodate that many speakers, must have a large, dedicated home theater room because, 13.1 is a lot of speakers.

You can click on his home theater gallery and see what he's working with.

I just did. I would feel uncomfortable about the way those upfiring Dolby Atmos speakers are mounted on the ceiling like that. It doesn't look safe at all because, of the possibility of them falling down on top of my head. Besides I don't think upfiring dolby atmos speaker are recommended to be mounted on the ceiling as a safety precaution. It's better to be safe than sorry.

The round 'DOWNFIRING' ceiling speakers are per Dolby specs and will not fall out of the ceiling, they are made to be in-ceiling.

Not sure what 'UPFIRING' speakers you are talking about

Very nice! I was able to finally complete a full 7 speaker Atmos set-up early this year and now I spend most of my life being immersed in glorious surround sound. I'm sure your system is even more thrilling!

Very cool. I have finally decided to get off my ass and upgrade my system to ATMOS. I am working every day right now for harvest so I haven't got the time yet to do it but seeing people make the plunge is inspiring me to do the same. (Moving from a 7.5 to a 9.5.4 system).

Hope you are enjoying the upgrade.

Don't upgrade your sound system just because other people are doing it. That's the wrong reason! Make sure you can afford to make that move without putting yourself into a financial bind because, that extra money just may come in handy for an unexpectant, important necessity.

You beat me to the reply, JustPlaneCrhazy, lol. Thank you for the compliment. There are actually a ton of little things I need to do in my theater. It is in need up some updating and just a good tune-up. I want to upgrade the ventilation in the equipment room and then silence the area behind the racks to deaden the sound from the fans, redress all the wiring as it has gotten slopped as I have swapped out many pieces of gear over the years. Sometimes, it just takes some motivation to get something done. I actually already had all the speakers, speaker wire and amps I needed already. I just really needed to dedicate the time for the labor portion of the upgrade.
