Default Yamaha xx80’s

I see on their site that Yamaha has specs and info on their upcoming xx80’s Aventage AVRs.

No 7.2.6 which is disappointing for me.
Maybe when their processor is released, it’ll have that.

Sup Buddy!

Yamaha has always made some solid gear, my processor doesn't decode Atmos, but still sounds phenomenal with the standard True and Master.

I just picked up a 2004 Yamaha RX-V1 in champagne, not the standard black. Got it for $150 bucks on the bay, great condition aside from a couple scratches. I have 'em hooked up in simple stereo mode to my old pair of Montana EPS2's ( in my mother's house ). This old Yamaha really is a beast at 67lbs! What an absolute steal for someone looking into a basic stereo setup......grab the used Yamaha for dirt cheap, hook up to high quality speakers and bam.....sweet sound. It's my 7th Yamaha in the past 25 years....never had an issue.

Hey there KD.
That’s a great bargain! Good find!

I’m not sure why I was whining. 7.2.4 sounds great so I don’t need to upgrade at this particular time.

I love Yamaha quality! I’m on my 6th since the late 90’s.

After I address 4K video, I’ll focus on audio again. Which will feature Yamaha again.

Have a gooder!
