Hmmmm, probably gonna get this. I remember this being a huge album during my teenage years. Just about every song on the album was a hit. Saw them in concert many times... and loved each performance. God, it was sad news when I heard Michael died.

Amazon UK still on pace for Nov 3rd, hoping I get a shipping e-mail on Thursday or Friday (was still cheaper than ordering from Amazon Canada or US)

Now I got another email from Amazon saying it will come out on 11/24 of this year.

So back to the original date they said. I’ll take it.

It's my favourite album of all time, I've heard it heaps... and the surround mix is incredible. Stunning. Some additions are there in the mix, but it is a great blend. The enhanced Stereo mix is there as well for those wanting the original album at its purest. Both mixes are amazing. the 3 CDs are also great. The book is the same as the 25th anniversary one, but there's several more tracks on disc 3 this time.

My little dog is sick and I got this and listened while going through some hard times this weekend.

Good news— he’s slowly getting better.

So, I didnt really listen to this in the best of mind. But it does sound fabulous. If you like this album or band in any way, for the price of this , it is very worth it.

I’ll go back and revisit in a few weeks and am sure will like it so much more.

What a week..

So I’ve been listening to this a lot more. This is one of the best blu audio whole packages I’ve purchased.

The reason. The price. You get the blu plus three CDs - one is the album and two with real remixes of each song. There’s some demos there too.

The blu sounds amazing. It’s not a product of the loudness wars ( as much as I can tell.. again I don’t know a whole lot. ) when I turn it up loud it sounds smooth and doesn’t blast in my speakers.

I still can’t tell how much of it is in surround ( I just got the R.E.M. GREEN DVD and when I play the Dolby 5.1 I can clearly hear some separation from the front and rear speakers.. truly the only time I’ve been 100% sure with this Samsung soundbar) but i have Dolby Atomos selected. It’s that or stereo.

So the Kick Blu sounds great. There’s also all the videos from that album and they look great. There’s a bonus one for the song Kick that is more recent.
The CDs are great
There’s a book and a slip case.

At this time it’s $32 on Amazon. And that’s why I say as a whole package it is totally worth it.

And if anyone cares, my dog is doing better.. he’s goung to be on meds for a while but should recover to live a long healthy life.

So I’m an idiot.

I’ve had my sound bar connected to the tv through blu tooth ( both Samsung and they pair nicely ). Problem is, I have not had true 5.1 ...

When I first got the sound bar I thought I tried a optical cable and it didn’t make a difference.

I’m kicking myself.

On a whim I grabbed a optical cable and switched the audio selection to that and

BOOM.

And this ( along with many others ) sound AMAZING.

I always knew something was wrong but I would mess with it then get frustrated ..

No more.

Now I need a Oppo player one day

Glad to hear you got it working correctly!

Newer ones have HDMI connections, so you may wanna look for that option as well to see if yours has one.

So I received my copy a few days ago, and I must say I'm very impressed with this package. The Dolby Atmos version on the BD sounds really good. Also, the videos all seem to have been shot on film (except "Mystify"), so the PQ of their videos look really good on a HDTV (very surprising). As you may know, most music videos were shot on "video" back in the day... so I'm not sure why the record company (Atlantic?) decided to spring for film (which I'm sure was more costly for them). but thank god that they did... because the PQ look really good. It's also nice of the record company to include extended versions of many of the songs from Kick on this release (many which I haven't heard in over 30 years).

When this album came out, INXS was on top of the musical world. I remember listening to it many many times. My friends and I went on saw them in concert during their tour. Great memories! This set was definitely worth the price.

So is the whole album mixed in surround sound, or just one song, Kick?

The whole album is mixed in surround sound. Like others have said, it's an excellent package. The only thing not really to like is that the videos included use the remastered audio, not the original audio. Therefore, things don't match up like they should. As a result, I've kept my INXS: I'm Only Looking DVD set for this purpose. But for listening to the album, it's amazing.
