Default 50th Year Anniversay

This movie is a classic. There is really no animal like the Cyclops.

If you like adventure, fantasy, and action you will love this movie.

Nice to see that sombody remembers these movies. Most of the younger people in here have no idea what it is.

Every one I have seen was great.

The 7th Voyage of Sinbad is the one that comes out in Bly-ray October 7th.
You will notice Russel L wants all of them.

I've only seen them on TV not on the cinema or anything, but the effects seemed better in the Golden Voyage, better than the 7th, which I only have vague memories of (I can hardly remember it at all), but the monsters in the 7th don't seem as real-looking as the ones in the Golden Voyage (I've seen the Golden Voyage on TV quite a few times).

Default Monsters

I can remember very well that all of them have great, I mean incrediable
Monsters. They all have the monsters I have ever seen.

Did you click on the post Russell L made available? The one that is coming out in blu by Sony has the Cyclops, and take a look at the birds being hatched in the broken egg. The skeletons are awsome as well.

It is a great movie.

Yes I've clicked that link and I'm reading some of those pages. I've seen Sinbad & the Eye of the Tiger on TV a few times too where the troglodyte and other stuff was quite good (but I think I preferred the Golden Voyage) and I've seen Clash of the Titans and a couple more of his films on TV too.

Golden Voyage had more "Arabian" locale, a script by Brian "The Avengers" Clemens (turning Sinbad into an Arabian Mr. Steed), and was the movie that got Tom Baker his job as The Doctor...

But Seventh had Princess Parisa, the Obligatory Harryhausen Skeleton-Fight, and the Bernard Hermann music.

Default Should have my copy on Monday

I believe my copy will arrive on Monday. Only thing is I will not be home, and unable to see it until Wednesday, or probably some time on Thursday.

I am really looking forward to seeing this movie. If I had not been so confident I never would of purchased it on a blind buy.

How is it a blind buy if you saw it already?

I have seen the movie numerous times. Many years ago. Talking about decades. So, I quess it is really not a blind buy.

I preordered it the same day as two other movies. They are the blind buys, as I have never seen either.

I was just watching this on TCM. I haven't been able to find the box set locally though.

Already got it from an uncharacteristically speedy Amazon, and...it looks good.

Have to get used to "grain" now, with the classics, but the color's in beautiful condition.

how about Sinbad And The Eye Of The Tiger?

Golden Voyage is my favorite specially the part where the Indian God Shiva statue comes to life.

I preferred the Golden Voyage, but the Bernard Hermann music in The 7th Voyage is beautiful.

I just watched this last night and it looks good, particularly the stop-motion creatures. This film has heavy, I mean HEAVY grain in it however.

I believe I saw all the Sinbad films at drive-ins. Love them all.

I received my Harryhausen box set a week or so ago and have yet to get into it. Infact, it kind of just went onto my shelf and I sort of forgot about it, what with my hectic life and all. I think that I am going to sit down tonight and watch Sinbad since my interest has been raised.
