YES! Dog Soldiers really does need a new transfer, hopefully they can work something out. And I have been waiting forever for a Ginger Snaps Blu-ray. The old DVD Special Edition from Canada was packed with features. I think that was technically my first ever import back in the day.

The new transfer should be mandatory as the current one is a steaming pile of sh*t! Love this flick! I'm pretty stoked about this release

I would say this won't be news unless they come up with a substantially better-looking transfer. Was this shot on 16mm?

A deal with Millennium Films? Nice.

Hopefully we can see a decent release of Monster and releases of Miss Firecracker, A Shock to the System and Guncrazy (these four aren't horror but could fit into Shout Factory easily).

Awesome news, I do hope that it gets a new transfer as I recall that the current Blu doesn't look too great.

I know its a difficult source to work with, and with a budget/resource conscious company like Scream factory its going to be a challenge to deliver a strong transfer, but surely they can do a lot better then the current Blu-Ray which looks like a upscale. In fact the Blu sometimes looks even worse then the DVD, take a look here.

Awesome news! Dog Soldiers is a wonderful film and the practical Werewolves look fabulous. The current blu-ray release is the worst I've seen, the black levels almost seem red at time...just awful. I've never seen Ginger Snaps but I've only heard good things about it.

Im sure they'll work out a new cover with a bunch of extras and surprise the actual movie (the only part that actually matters) will look like crap. I'm sure there will be a review that points out all of the faults it will inevitably have and then in the last sentence it will say "but it does look the best that it ever has on home format" and somehow it will receive a 4 or 5 rating.

Hope they start with all the stuff from the UK dvd of Dog Soldiers, then maybe throw a new commentary or interview into the mix. I really hope they get the short film from the R2, that just cracks me up for some reason. I'm hoping something can be done about the transfer. I tried the current BD from the library, and mixing that horrid picture with the lack of all these features the dvd has, made it an easy pass despite being maybe my favorite werewolf film.
