I think it's established that this is region B. What I want to know, is is it uncut? I dunno what German ratings mean, but FSK 16 sounds like PG-13 to me, and this movie definitly has R rated content. Anyone know?

The Splendid release does say "Uncut" on the cover and OFDB.de doesn't have the scissor image on their listing of it. The total runtime is quoted as 100:16 if anyone wants to compare. Extras are SD and probably 50Hz material so wouldn't be playable in US machines, not sure if any start-up logos are 50Hz as well.

Quality is.. uhm.. bad. Just check Caps-A-Holic Comparison.

The Movie WAs rated FS18 once, but it was the same Version as in UK. And that Version WAS cutted some seconds. Also there WAS a old FSK16 Version, with more cuts, BUT:
The uncut movie was new rated, with new FSK16.
FSK16 is not like PG-13. PG-13 is more like FSK12, because FSK 12 says that younger than 12 kids MAY see a movie in theatre with their parents, but not alone. But FSK16 is just for "Kids" age of 16 or higher.
I would compare r-rated to something between FSK16 and FSK18.
What about US "NC-17" rating? (Does it exist, what does it mean? ^^)
Its always some kind of funny how different USA and Germany ratings are sometimes.

So Splendid Entertainment are releasing this again apparently. New transfer maybe? Either way I'll probably pick this up again as it's one of my favorite movies.

It sucks the interviews in the special features were dubbed over in the last release though.

I really wish Peter Berg and the actors could get together and do a commentary and a nice new retrospective featurette on this now cult favorite movie. This used to have a 4.8 rating on IMDB not even 10 years ago and now it's up to a 6.3. Dark comedies seem to have more of an audience these days. Very Bad Things is still the king of dark comedies though and will never be surpassed. I don't think Peter Berg has much love for this movie anymore though unfortunately. He made it during a dark time when he was drinking heavily and fed up with Hollywood. Now he's making patriotic Americana dick-waving BS. Gotta get him drinking again and hope he can bring the fans of this classic the Special Edition Very Bad Things Deluxe Blu-Ray release we've all been waiting for.

I think it will be most likely just a reissue, since it's a budget price release and the extras listed on ofdb.de are the same as the ones on the first edition:
