My wife loves the Uncharted games, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Tomb Raider. I would suggest those. She might also like games like Until Dawn and Detroit Become Human. The TellTale games might appeal to her if she'd prefer something heavy on story and light on mechanics.

I'm sure this is immensely unhelpful, but a Switch could be worthwhile for playing stuff like Mario Kart and Tennis together.
My first answer for PS4 though was Horizon Zero Dawn, too. Just because it's so gorgeous to watch and you might enjoy trading the controller and playing through the story together? Same could be said for making story choices together in Until Dawn. I also thought that being freaked out by Alien Isolation might be fun, if your tastes align to that, but the novelty probably wouldn't last. |

That sounds great! Can you give me a title or 2? Sorry, I haven't kept up with any PS4 games. I just play Diablo. My wife did the Diablo thing with me for awhile, but I think she would love coop pinball. Thanks.

Right! There are plenty of girls who play COD or Fortnite every day. I've tried and I can't get my girl (old lady) to touch a game.

LittleBigPlanet 3 is a fun side scrolling adventure that most females tend to enjoy. It’s super adorable! It can support 4 player co-op (online or off) and has an infinite number of user created levels to play, so it never gets old/repetitive. However, I will say that LittleBigPlanet & LittleBigPlanet 2 for the PS3 were FAR better.

Those mechanic issues definitely feel like that when playing ONLINE with others. Not nearly that bad for couch co-op. Like I mentioned, the first 2 games in the franchise were much better... mostly for how much smoother they are with online functionality.

The mechanics feel that way to me on or offline. They feel weighty and slow and very momentum based which to me is not a good design choice for a platformer that requires precision moves and jumps. At the time I LOVED the first two games because the whole "play-create-share" concept was so new and the graphical presentation was so cool. However now that I've had a few years to think those games over, I've come to the conclusion that from a mechanics perspective they're really not that good. I applaud Media Molecule for what they accomplished with those games conceptually. But if they ever make another sequel to LBP, they really should look at games like Rayman Legends, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Super Mario Bros U, etc for inspiration in terms of mechanics.
