United Kingdom Killer Elite - UK PQ trashed, US PQ praised...

Reading online reviews I see the US disk almost universally praised as near reference quality, but the UK disk is either trashed or considered just "serviceable."

Did EIV mess it up? Any comments from those who own it or have seen it..

I watched it, thought it looked fine. Nothing glaringly bad stood out.

They're probably the exact same transfer and people are talking crap, on both sides of the pond.

I watched the UK release today, I don't see any issue with it, except one odd glitch.

The running time reads as 126mins on the counter. The film obviously doesn't run longer than the 116 min US release, but there is around 10mins of random footage and unfinished title credits after the actual film credits. All without sound.

Very strange. Very unprofessional, very EIV.

I watched this and the PQ is mighty fine. Whoever said the UK version is rubbish needs to get the junk removed from their eyes.

... and since it doesn't look like it went to the BBFC, potentially illegal and may get the disc pulled...

Hello guys,

Does anybody have actual comparison on the PQ of the UK and US version of the film? BD scan reports? I want to buy this movie on BD, but I am undecided because of some conflicting reports on PQ quality. Import from the US, or go with the UK edition?

I've just watched this UK bluray, and like someone mentioned above there is a glitch after the end credits, but it doesn't effect the movie at all. Entertainment In Video tend to just do a direct port of US releases, and looking at the PQ here I'd day this is no different. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the PQ is. Whoever slammed the UK bluray was maybe just referring to that glitch. Don't let that put you off as it's after the end credits have completely finished. Sure it's a little sloppy and bad quality control, but doesn't effect the movie in any way shape or form. I just got the UK blu off Amazon for about £3 new.
