Default Troma's War blu-ray disc feedback

So, I don't see a topic on this and not sure how much of a response I'm going to get about this.

Was thinking about buying Troma's War on blu-ray and read the review here and it says it has a huge macro-blocking issue. (which I guess is squares showing up on the screen?)

I just want know how bad the macro-blocking is? Does it destroy the film experience?

Just wanted to get some feedback and any would be appreciated.

The biggest issue with the release is that there was no color correction done to the scan. This is due to Troma not wanting to pay for any correction or cleanup. There is some macro blocking and compression artifacts due to the fact that everything was crammed onto a single-layer BD. That all being said, it doesn't destroy the viewing experience for me, as WAR is one of my favorite films, and this is likely the best it will ever look unless Troma allows it to be sub-licensed to an outfit like Vinegar Syndrome down the line.

Thanks for the response. Decided to order it off of Ebay, and I'm hoping for the best.

If you were to take a guess, how often does the macro blocking and compression artifacts occur? Is is something that only happens a few times, or is constant throughout?

I've only watched it a couple times, but I don't recall it happening all too often. It's most common during big action scenes, but it's not a constant problem.
