This is huge news! Especially if you like these 70s/80s shows

Diff’rent Strokes and 227 will debut on Prime Video on Thursday, with The Jeffersons, Sanford & Son and Sanford set to premiere later in the year. IMDb TV will also roll out All in the Family, Good Times, Maude and One Day at a Time on Thursday. It will mark the first time the full run of All in the Family and any episodes of Maude have been on a streaming platform.

Same!

I'm pretty excited about 227 and the Jeffersons, though. 227 especially - I really would like to re-watch some of the later seasons that I haven't seen since the initial airing.

The Jefferson's have been playing on Starz for awhile. They even had Sanford on there. I had forgot that show existed as a spinoff of Sanford and Son.

I love the Jeffersons, but that was re-run so much when I was a kid that I feel like I've seen most of it, so I'll probably just jump in and grab select episodes. I always forget how long that show actually ran - like a lot of those older shows, it's the later years that I like to explore, because they are the episodes I saw the least and always seem newer and "fresh".

227 really has me stoked, though. I'm pretty sure nothing but Season 1 ever made it to DVD, right? I remember Netflixing it back when Netflix was, well, the original Netflix when the DVDs first came out. And then sometime in the early 10's back before I cut the cord, one of the retro stations started playing it so I saved them up on TiVO - though I believe they only got up to Season 2.

So I really haven't seen much of the show since those original airings - it was always a favorite. It's why I get so excited whenever I see Regina King and all the amazing work she is done - she will ALWAYS be Brenda Jenkins to me, LOL.

I've heard great things about 227, though I don't think I ever watched an episode. We all have something to look forward to!
