Seems like I've been waiting years for this. My brother and I are so excited it's finally coming out. We're big fans of Zak Bagans and Ghost Adventures. Can't wait to see this. Probably too much to hope for this to play in a theater near us but if it does we'll definitely go see it there.

I just got a screener for this today, will hopefully be checking it out tonight. I don't foresee this movie having any embargos, so I'll post my thoughts when I do!

Love Ghost Adventures.

I've seen every episode/special/you name it of Ghost Adventures. The only paranormal/ghost show I watch and trust. Would love to see this. I wonder if Nick will have any scenes or if Zak cut all of his scenes out lol.

So it's currently midnight and I just finished this.

I'm honestly kinda scared to leave my bedroom and go down the hall to my bathroom. This is the first movie to actually have me scared in a very, very long time.

Is it cheesy? Yes.
It is real? Who knows? Probably not.
Is it effective? 100%

Follows the recent trend of horror documentaries (Rats, The Nightmare) where there's a bit of dramatic reenactments. You have Zak going full Zak in this. Is he acting? Is he truly being affected? Who knows. It doesn't really matter. As someone that believes in ghosts, demons, etc etc...this movie has me kinda shook right now. Even if this movie is like Blair Witch, and a fictitious or exaggerated story, as a movie and film, it works. I know I would never step foot inside that house. There were scenes when I was watching through squinted eyes because I was afraid of what I'd see on screen.

It's probably just because I'm alone, it's dark out, and I'm tired...but damn, this was a good movie. I'd highly suggest checking this out when it's very late, dark, and cold outside.

Is Nick in this? I can't remember if most of this was shot while he was still a team member or after he left.

How did you see it early when it's coming out on March 16th?

Same here. Ghost Adventures is the only one paranormal investigation show I watch. I tried Ghost Hunters & just couldn't get into it.

I enjoy Nick's show Paranormal Lockdown as well.
He and Katrina Weidman work really well together.
I got to talk to Aaron and Nick briefly at Comic Con when they were there. I told them I really liked the Wolfe Manor episode. My Mom worked in the nursing home part that was behind the house so she didn't see a lot of the stuff discussed about the house. She never did tell me or my siblings why she left other than she couldn't stand the owner. All three of them were cool but Nick and Aaron were by far the nicest.

I write reviews for a horror-website, so we get screeners from the distributors early.

Oh a 4.5/5, easily.

I didn't call dibs on writing the official review for the site, but when it gets posted I'll throw it in this thread! I can't imagine the other reviewer being any less enthused.

I've never seen Ghost Adventures and I don't necessarily believe in the paranormal, nor do I buy that what's presented here is real.

However, watching it home alone at night with the lights off, the movie had a similar effect on me. I loved it. And I liked that instead of doing an overnight investigation on the house, the ghost hunter guy literally BOUGHT the house!

Definitely not to be taken seriously, but if watched in the vein of Lake Mungo or The Poughkeepsie Tapes, it's a lot of fun. Highly recommended. Perfect movie to watch alone at night if you want to freak yourself out a bit.

I almost made a thread for this film a week ago, glad I didn't.

Absolutely loved this doc, it scared the living hell out of me. Zak's first documentary Ghost Adventures that he did in 2004 is really good too if anyone hasn't seen it.

I've watched his show for over a decade now, been to his Haunted Museum in Vegas I'll tell you the paranormal/demons all this shit is real. The stuff you experience in that museum if your willing to open yourself up is ****ing nuts!

I saw this at the cinema last week and it was honestly pretty boring. I appreciate Bagans' passion and energy but there wasn't even any Ghost Adventuresy fun to it. Just kinda goofy and contrived.

Totally forgot about this thread. My brother and I watched it about a week ago, and we loved it. Very unnerving. I love Zak's style and wish he could find the time to make more documentaries. I'd been curious for the last several seasons of Ghost Adventures why Zak suddenly started wearing glasses and this documentary actually answers that question. Was also nice to see him touch on the deaths of Mark and Debby Constantino, which I was surprised had never been mentioned on the show. This was a really well-made documentary. I would love to see it get a Blu-ray release because visually it was stunning.

Agreed. My brother and I have that on DVD, and it's a frequent go-to title whenever we want to kill 90 minutes.

Yeah I thought the same thing when I finished watching the film, made sense why dude started wearing glasses. Also, the fact that the house might had something to do with Mark & Debbie's passing hit me.

I hope it gets a blu ray release as well.

I have no interest in any of these fake ghost-hunting shows (and make no mistake, they are fake). Mike from RLM is a fan, but the stuff they say happens at the end is the same old shit that makes this genre fail at being even somewhat convincingly fake.
