Timberlake's an underrated actor, curious to see how well he does with this. Winslet and Allen working together should be great.

The lovely Kate Winslet.

Timberlake is still trying to make that film career happen, but like fetch, it won't.

I think he would do better in whimsical type movies, like Wes Anderson's.

Without Richard Pryor, Wonder Wheel will be pretty boring.

Looks good. I definitely dig that cast.

And I agree that Justin's an underrated actor.

Hopefully Amazon doesn't sit on a physical release of this one like they are with Crisis In Six Scenes.

This one will probably be up for quite a few Oscar noms so should get a physical release? Crisis was a bit of an oddity, neither one thing nor the other.

Cafe Society was similarly backed by Amazon Studios and got a physical release so I would hope that holds true for this...can't see or hear "Wonder Wheel" without thinking of The Warriors!

Not even Wes IMO. Just films where he's not trying so hard to act. This one seems closer to the mark.

Why is their any doubt about a physical release? Amazon follows traditional studio windows and patterns, with 90 days exclusive to theaters, and then also a home video window before hitting Prime around the same time films from other studios would hit Prime or Netflix (it will probably launch on Prime around this time next year). A TV show like Crisis in Six Scenes is a very different case and release than a movie (the Prime TV shows are of course available on the service day one and don't go to theaters).

A bit disappointing that it doesn't release till December, felt like there was a mini tradition going of a new Woody Allen film every summer.

It's going to be very early fifties, that film poster in the background is Winchester '73 released in 1950.

I'm hoping that means Allen and/or Amazon thinks this is gonna be a pretty substantial awards player. As much as I've enjoyed his most recent movies, they've all been pretty slight.

Well, Michael Moore In Trumpland didn't get one either, and Wiener-Dog was just MoD. But I hope you're right!

Blue Jasmine was great tho, hopefully something along those lines.

I watched a recent interview with Woody where he talked a little about the film and he couldn't remember exactly when it was set, said it was sometime between 1949 and 1952

Amazon Studios will self-distribute the movie.

Sure is a lot of "wonder" this year. Wonder Woman, Wonderstruck, Wonder Wheel, and that one with Jacob Tremblay that is just called Wonder.
