Cloverfield special features

Hi,

I'm a special features *****. Can anyone tell me whether you loose anything getting Cloverfield on Blu-ray as opposed to the special edition (2-disk) DVD? If so, what?

if im not mistaken its the same thing as the 2 disc dvd but on blu-ray

Its the same thing as the 2 disc I believe. I do know that the Blu Ray has the "Special Investigation Mode". I'm not sure of the 2 disc DVD has that.

To the best of my knowledge, there is only a 1-disc SD DVD version - no 2 disc one.

But anyway, the Cloverfield Blu-ray release has all the features from the SD DVD, as well as the Blu-ray exclusive Special Investigations Mode that is some kind of trivia track thing that plays during the movie and gives some previously unrevealed information.

Ahh. I'm in the US so I didn't know about the UK release. I wonder what that 2nd disc has. I know the Blu-ray copies the US release's special features, I have no idea about the UK one.

Luckily the BD is region free so I was considering getting it imported if it had all the features of the DVD but since it doesn't seem to, I think I'll have to go with DVD for this one. Although, the Special Investigations Mode does sound intriguing. Hmm.

I've been really disappointed that studios aren't putting the SFs the they put on DVDs on BDs. I understand that often they are not shot in HD but I'd rather have them in SD than not at all. Hey-hum.

I just did a search online to find out exactly what the UK 2-disc version has for special features, but I couldn't find anything conclusive. It doesn't come out until June 9th, so hopefully you'll be able to find a good description at that point.

Cloverfun and visual effects are on the blu ray. not sure about the others

The Easter Eggs are all over the BD and DVD. But, you know, they're hidden.
