First I know 4K/UHD Blu-ray movies are region free.
I use my PC mostly to watch Blu-rays from all zones. But now that I have a 4K TV, I'll buy a player, but I'm trying to find a player that would do Blu-ray from all zones. Trying to find on Amazon.co.uk and fr, and ebay.co.uk and fr but the search results are not good, it gives me all sorts of UHD players and Blu-ray players but most are not zone free and even worse I find lots of "upscaling to 4K" players that are just "4K" in the description but won't read 4K Blu-ray ... I read that some remotes or codes can make some players region free. Is this my best solution? Is there brands that has the most region free or others that never do? I found this : https://www.directutor.com/content/h...lu-ray-players, does it work? Of course if it's agaisnt the rules, remove this thread. Last edited by TheTenth; 01-21-2020 at 10:24 AM. |

My advice -- buy the the nicest 4K player you can and add a separate Region Free BD/DVD player.
With the extra cost of making most 4KUHD players region free you might be able to buy 2 better than decent region free Bluray Players. |
