Hopefully HDR can bring some life and vibrancy to this movie. Visually it is by far the flattest and ugliest MCU movie yet.

I don’t know. I’d say The Incredible Hulk and Thor the Dark World are poorer looking than Avengers.

I won't be surprised if Best Buy reuses the same Steelbooks from the recent BluRay releases for these 4K releases. I hope I'm wrong though, because I don't strongly like them very much, and would rather have something unique and perhaps more epic looking.

Dark World actually looks pretty nice, it's just such a shitty movie that no one cares lol. And I like the look of Incredible Hulk. It's nothing great it's at least not as visually dull as The Avengers.

Releasing the first 2 Avengers films around Infinity War's release is smart thinking. If Disney releases these slowly it will probably get more people to buy them as they release, instead of releasing all of the phases at once which will cost hundreds of dollars.

Avengers looks like a TV movie with a lot of bad framing and mpty space. I couldn't believe DP who lensed Atonement shot something so ugly. His post-Avengers work is also very good so what the hell happened?

Does anyone know if this edition comes with a 4K digital Itunes version? Ive looked on Itunes and it appears that this and the other 2 Avengers films only come in HD, no 4K ITunes version

Disney does not have any films in 4K on iTunes, only HD.

All 3 movies should come with a code that will transfer to any service that has them in 4K via Movies Anywhere. iTunes isn't one of them unfortunately.

As people have said Disney does not do 4K on ITunes, and until Apple stops giving away free 4K upgrades, they won’t.

But there is a nice workaround.
Vudu will play Disney movies in 4k and Dolby Atmos on AppleTV in tvos12.
